I recommend this VR Auckland hotel to those who want to stay in Auckland city for a purpose. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, which made me snore according to my partner. The hotel is close to Sky Tower and many shops like cafes and restaurants. I'll come back again next time. Thanks.

I chose this because the location is excellent according to what I have read from previous guests' reviews. Yes, it's true and the bed and pillows are so comfortable; only the blanket is not appropriate for winter because it's thin linen, “not a comforter”. The carpeted floor is quite dirty and dusty. All is good anyway, and thank you, VR hotel, for the accommodation. Coming back again here if there is another time.

For location and price it rates well. However, it is quite run down - you can see it was modern and well maintained once. But now that isn't the case. Random lamp on bedroom floor as there was no room for a side table on one side. Shower was dirty, soap pump dispenser was broken, the A/C fan system could not be adjusted and was extremely noisy - luckily there was a mains type switch board on the wall and we turned it off. The vents themselves were covered in dust. Overall just run down. Fine if you need budget accommodation for an event. Beds were comfortable. Parking was average, could not book and none available so had to park on road or nearby parking buildings.
