The staff at the reception desk was not very welcoming. As we entered the hotel, the front desk staff saw us, but did not greet us immediately and continued with their own conversation instead. Upon confirming our reservation, the staff quickly shoved the card machine in my face and prompted me to insert my card to take a $50 deposit. Only when I asked what it was for did she explain. It would be better if the staff could explain briefly first before taking deposit. The room is old and dated. I understand there is renovation going on until June 2025 to update the hotel. The cleaning products used to clean the rooms smelled similar to the ones used to clean public washrooms. The entire room smelled like the pink soap used in public washrooms. So in general the room did not smell pleasant. The breakfast area was kept clean. The staff constantly looked after the food area and wiped the counters. However the food was not good. Mainly, it is left out for too long in the chafing dish. The french toast was hard. The scrambled eggs also had a weird texture.

Mixed bag... while basic amenities like hot water, wifi , and parking were reliable, housekeeping left much to be desired. Overall average experience.
