    Our family of four enjoyed our week long stay in a superior family room. Evergreen has a nice and good sized gym. Our room was quiet; it had a bathtub & shower stocked with soap and shampoo. Dinghecuo MRT stop is a couple minutes walk away. Before departing for Kaohsiung, we booked a UBUS (highway bus) online (using Google Translate) & then printed the tickets at 7-11 (with 7-11 employee help) but next time we’ll make sure to uber to UBUS Chao ma Station Chaofu Rd (Taichung bus station building) and not the simple Chao ma bus station on the street), laundry facility was walkable nearby, mango boba at Cha Time in Sogo mall was one of our favorites

    CONS The elevator going to the parking area smelled really bad, especially for a 5-star hotel. It was like that our entire stay from June 12–14 the smell never changed, and I don’t even know where it was coming from. The ceilings in the guest rooms are also low. I’m not sure if it’s the same for the VIP/Laurel floors, but the 4-star hotels I’ve stayed in had higher ceilings. The front desk staff were not very friendly or accommodating. Maybe they treat high-end or VIP guests better, but with us, I never saw a genuine smile. and the woman at the buffet entrance on my second morning (June 14)—she was not really friendly while assisting us, The rooms in general is small. PROS The bed and pillows are comfortable, and the housekeeping staff are kind. My restaurant reservation went smoothly—we celebrated my birthday at the Evergreen Chinese restaurant. The room and toilet are clean, though the room is really small and has a low ceiling. but the kids are is good, The food at the Chinese restaurant is delicious, especially the Peking duck, and the breakfast buffet is good. The parking area is well-lit, and the pool, gym, and common toilets are clean. nothing special in this hotel, i didn't even take pictures because I wasn't impress at all.

    The hotel room is large, but it's very old inside. Especially bad is the sofa. It's very old. When I sat on it, I felt like something biting. The breakfast has quite a lot of varieties, but the quality is so-so. The freshly made coffee can be much better for a 5-star hotel.
