We recently stayed at the Platinum Grand in Banani and cannot recommend it highly enough. Nestled right in the middle of Banani's vibrant streets, the location alone is a huge draw - but it was everything else that made this stay truly special. The location is genuinely unbeatable. Everything you could possibly need is right on your doorstep - restaurants, cafés, and shops in every direction. I made a daily ritual of strolling to Aarong, a beautiful Bangladeshi lifestyle and clothing store just a 10-minute walk away (or a breezy 3-minute rickshaw ride if you prefer!), and I could have happily shopped there every single day. For food, the options are truly endless: Burger King directly opposite the hotel, KFC, Herfy, Koi The, Kavazo, Peyala - and that's just scratching the surface. Whether you're after a quick bite or a leisurely meal, you'll never be stuck for choice. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely outstanding- warm, attentive, and wonderfully fluent in English, which was a genuine lifesaver for my children who don't speak any at all. We made full use of everything the hotel had to offer - the rooftop pool, the gym, the sauna, and the laundry service (which, impressively, was returned same day). Every facility was immaculate, and the servicing throughout our stay was prompt and efficient. The breakfast spread kept the whole family happy morning after morning - no small feat! A particular highlight for families travelling with children: the hotel offers a meet-and-greet at the airport with dedicated protocol handling, which made arriving in Dhaka completely stress-free. It's that kind of thoughtful, end-to-end service that sets Platinum Grand apart. Prices were fair, the rooms were spotless, and the entire experience felt genuinely welcoming. This will absolutely be our base every time we visit Dhaka.

The reception and entrance were undergoing renovation during our stay - but this is absolutely nothing for future guests to worry about. By the time we were leaving it was all coming together beautifully, and the finished result looks set to be stunning. Anyone visiting now will simply get to enjoy the upgrade. We can't wait to return and see it in all its glory!
