Cozy atmosphere and very close to the wharf and beach. Has a pool and hot tub onsite. Would definitely stay here again

More than 5 items missing from the room on arrival. Refrigerator leaked, kitchenette not stocked with towels,, minimal dish wear, The front desk often unattended. Daily breakfast very sparse, no fruit. Loved the art works and overall charm of the building & gardens and ocean view.

The basic needs and expectations in this hotel are not satisfied. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our room to get cleaned before checking in, no apologies or late check out options were offered, in fact I had to keep coming back and nudge stuff to see if room is ready.
Now about the room: no toilet paper holder in the bathroom, not even a single shelf in the shower to put your shampoo/soap. Also you are given only shampoo, conditioner and lotion but not body gel/soap.
Our room had oven (with dirty dishes in it), floor had spots of blood in bathroom, hallway and shower. General cleanliness desired to be better.
No 'do not disturb' card or 'service requested'.
It is all not bad! The territory is beautiful, you have pool and hot tub available till 10 pm. They have complimentary continental breakfast and happy hour with wine and cheese every afternoon. That being said, I'd rather them put some love into their rooms than wine/cheese happy hour.
Check out was also clancy, since no one was at the front desk and when you call the number on the paper that is there, you are being sent to voicemail.
They have a few easy fixes available to them to make the experience significantly better.
