This hotel is definitely not 3 star hotel , apart from air conditioning not working , rooms are very small and everything looks old. Feel sorry for staff who have to apologise to the guests all the time. To me there is definitely an issue with management who have no understanding how the city centre hotel should be managed. This stay almost ruined our holidays , imagine trying to get to sleep when air conditioning is down , bathroom fan is noisy and cannot be switched off and temperature outside is 26 degrees. Would never ever come back to this place . Thanks to the friendly female staff, they are doing great job .

Booked for 3 people , they supplied 1 bed. Wasnt cleaned well after previous guest. Room was noisy from external noise Random noises from within the room. Aircon barely works. Plus a bunch more. On plus side the receptionist did her best to make the room suitable for us so props to her. Otherwise a very sub standard stay. im not one to write reviews but the people need to know.

Room was small but clean. A little dated but perfectly fine. Room had a great view out across park and to the Sky Tower - beautiful at night. Convenient location with walking distance to everything I needed. Would stay again.

The room definitely did not look like the photos. The bathroom was still dirty from previous guests, noticeable watermarks, dirty grout and toothpaste stains. No where to hang up or put away clothes.

The room looks good only in the pictures. In reality it smells of mold and water seepage. The walls have water leakage bubbles and the paint is coming off. the mattress are years old and you cannot sleep comfortably . I have a serious back ache and showing a doctor / Physio for the health issues.

I suggest the manager stay a night in room 211 so they can experience the inconvenience when staying in the room and hopefully make the necessary improvements. Shower hose leaks Curtain too high so water splashes over all the floor Several attempts to fully flush the toilet. Kettle had to be placed on floor to have access to power Long black hairs on bathroom floor No shelves for toilet bag in bathroom Fridge noisy and froze milk and also the bottle of water causing the bottle to crack and break. No racks to place luggage although the room has ample space for a rack. No teaspoons for tea or coffee No exhaust fan in the bathroom Hand basin plug doesn't work At the hotel entrance the mat is folded at one edge and is a significant trip hazard. This poor quality mat gives a very early indication guests are not seriously considered. From a guest perspective NO attention is given to the needs and comfort of your guests.

The TV wouldn't go. The milk was frozen for our coffee this morning. We told front desk they might need to check fridge. But however we were offered a cooked breakfast in the VR motel which was very delicious 😋.

The room was a bit dirty and there was a bug infestation. I tried to kill them but more came back! They really should do something about this issue. I had to move rooms and the second one wasn’t much better. The hotel was falling apart too. I wouldn’t stay here again. The lady at the front desk tried her best, but clearly the place needs refurbishing.

I got the executive room for a night. TV wouldn’t work so I was given a breakfast voucher. Very appreciative of the effort to remedy the problem. Night time movies at a hotel are the best though so was bummed I couldn’t watch anything. Thank you to this gentlemen for trying 🙏 I had a separate stay. This is where the problem arose. I had to cancel it and it was just made extra difficult by the hotel staff. That feeling like you are being told to talk to ‘the other guy to get it fixed.’I’m happy Expedia is the best and they got me a refund. I am not a fan of reviewing places because it can impact the livelihood of the staff and hotel but it’s important to do so sometimes. I felt I was a problem for the hotel instead of a guest but this was just my experience. If you have no need to interact then you may find this place fits enough boxes for price and location. Thank you for the breakfast 🙏

Some basic maintenance needs to be undertaken. E.g. the bathroom shelves lean forward meaning things can fall forward into the basin. Of more concern, the scan key in the LH lift is broken and for security reasons would need fixing. The entry carpet rectangle at hotel entry is uneven and a fall hazard.

They did not have a trash can in the room other than a very small one for the toilet. Plastic water bottle found in the room left by prior guest. Many creamer packets in fridge but not in a designated container so couldn’t tell if they were new or left by prior guest. Very few parking spots and very tight parking- don't count on parking to be available. they will also charge you $35 per day to park. We did not get breakfast since it wasn’t included. Walls were very thin and could hear neighbors talking all night - they weren’t talking loud.

I loved the location and the price was perfect for what we got. However, there was a big white mark (size of a dinner plate) on carpet which I was easily able to remove with some of my shoe so it can’t have been cleaned. Tv was way too small for the size of the room and we couldn’t get basic TVNZ channels! Bed very uncomfortable as it was two singles pushed together which separated during the night making it very uncomfortable. Was only a quarter of a roll of toilet paper when we arrived and I had to go and ask for more. Very noisy and street lights shone through the drapes very brightly.

Ok for price. Again issues from housekeeping not noticing reporting issues. Last visit the bed was soaking wet, thid time wrong remote in room for tv. Also heating, heat pump had error code. Guy at reception didnt know didnt offer another form of heat. Next day i had to go reception again, this time lady sais all heat pumps not used and offered a portable heater. Simple thing for a hotel is put a sign in each room saying heatpumps are deliberately off and to ask for a heater or a fan . Simple things to not annoy guests. Also took ages to get hot water in shower and sink
