Rijasa Agung Resort Villas

Rijasa feels like your very own palace... I like peace and quiet and Rijasa gave me just that. The views from your room and the pools are breathtaking, you look down into the quiet jungle and you can take a dip in the infinity pools as the sun sets on the horizon... The staff were brilliant- friendly and so helpful, it really does make such a difference! The rooms are beautiful and clean with a French touch and lots of space... I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax and unwind in Ubud!!!

This hotel was a bargain for the price I paid in my opinion. The view from my balcony was spectacular and the location is beautiful. The staff were friendly and it was a pleasant experience.

We loved staying here. The hotel was in a beautiful position overlooking mountains and jungle. The rooms are huge. The pool was great. The staff were very efficient & friendly. Close to many attractions near Ubud but away from the frenetic pace. Highly recommend!

Had the most amazing time at Rijasa! The staff were so helpful and friendly. Could not fault a thing. Nice staff, gorgeous hotel and great food (both breakfast and at the restaurant (which was also quite cheap!)). Had the best time we have ever had at this hotel. A hidden retreat with the most stunning views of the Agung River and Forest. We stayed in a jacuzzi room which is a must do! The hotel is a far distance from Ubud city centre but they do provide a complimentary shuttle. The staff are very helpful and staff always do their utmost to make it a pleasant stay.

One fantastic hotel! Free shuttle service to Ubud, a view you never seen before and a jacuzzi on the balcony. Good restaurant and a la carte breakfast. Infinity pool <3 Definitely 5-star worthy.

Beautiful , clean and spacious room with free minibar and snacks. View from the balcony which also had the bathtub on was exceptional. Staff were friendly. Pools were lovely overlooking the rainforest and river. Restaurant food was average. Overall great hotel.

Tucked away along a small narrow street 20 minutes from ubud centre, the hotel offers stunning views of the jungle and mountains with peek-a-boo views of a rice terrace and ayung river. The hotel itself is quiet grand, the rooms are spacious and the infinity pool overlooks the jungle. The facilities did appear to have some wear and tear in the bathroom and pool areas. Its a quiet hotel (we were 2 of 9 guests whom we never saw) and we had no problem booking the transport to and from town everyday. The staff were helpful and friendly. We assume that due to the lower occupancy, our breakfast was a la cart (decent and fresh) and our mini bar was not stocked. Overall, it was a relaxing stay and excellent value compared to the two luxury resorts next door. Better for those who dont mind the shuttle to/from town.

This hotel has incredible views, tranquil surrounding and an amazing infinity pool.

The hotel staff is particularly helpful. Very nice driver for the shuttle. The hotel is beautiful and has 2 amazing swimming pools. Its a bit far from Ubud town so it would be great if the hotel made the shuttle service more frequent. Now its every 1-2 hours.

location is too far downtown. But this resort have a good view at the pool. And breakfast is very good. And there is a free shuttle bus to downtown. I will recommend to my friends.

Overall my experience at the hotel was fantastic! The views are incredible and the staff were very helpful and willing to provide as much help as possible! The only issue we had during our stay was one evening the restaraunt was over run by flying insects, although this is a hotel on the edge of an epic forest and all other evenings we had no trouble at all! (The one off we just ordered room service instead) I would certainly reccomend this hotel to any friends or family and would return at any given oppertunity!

If you want a quiet location to relax (away from the rat-race of Kuta) and you have done all the sightseeing on a previous Bali trip this may be the place for you. Beautiful views over the river valley with rice terraces and water rafting in the river below. Free shuttle to Ubud (20 mins) keeps you connected for shopping and good evening meal choices and you can source lots of other activities in the Ubud area from the town. Facilities at the hotel are not numerous and although the horizon pool is nice there is little deck chair space and the pool bar is not always open. Staff are very friendly and helpful and you can book services like massage (very reasonable at $25) from the front desk. Airport transfers (takes about 80 minutes) at $25 are good value. Only real downside are the meals at the hotel which I could not recommend as they can't seem to serve any of them hot (breakfast grill was cold on two days and the bae marie breakfast which is only one day per week, was only slightly better). Selection is reasonable but they need a complete review of recipes as very few are what you expect, for example, Caesar Salad was just slivers of vegetables with some sort of mayonnaise and croutons of small soggy toast squares instead of crisp cubes and no bacon. Pizza bases are terrible, they need a genuine pizza base dough and egg on a pizza is not 3 fried eggs flattened on top of the base! Until the food improves I would choose to take the shuttle to Ubud, even for late breakfast.

I stayed three nights and loved it! If you're after the whole Kuta Bali experience then this is not the place for you. If you're after stunning views, nature (I saw monkeys, lizards, frogs, birds from my balcony) and a relaxing get away from it all then this hotel is great. A free shuttle into Ubud is easy to organise for spa treatments (Bali Botanical is great) and sightseeing in Ubud, whilst the hotel itself provided clean rooms and friendly accomodating service. The language capabilities of the stafff where adequate to the standards I've encountered on previous trips to Bali, no worse. An attempt to learn a few words in the native language goes a long way as it does anywhere in the world (ie; terima kasih - thankyou, tolong - please). As a solo woman traveller, I also felt very comfortable - don't be put off by expedia claims that "clothing is optional" as throughout my stay all guests and staff etc were suitably clothed as befits the traditional culture of the Balinese. All in all, a great place to stay if you want to think, relax, swim in a boutique hotel, away from the strobe lights and crowds in Kuta.

The staff are ever so kind, they do have some difficulty understanding english but go out of there way to be of service. The 10 min. shuttle ride is definetly worth it as you can't get such a location in the center of Ubud. The grounds are breathtaking, the views from the balcony in the rooms is surreal. We highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel has the most spectular view of the river valley that if managed properly could be a jewel. Unfortunately, the lack of an english speaking on-site general manager and poor international language skiils prevent this. Examples include assigning and delivering the wrong bags to the wrong room, bugs and dirt in rooms, no chairs on a private pool, no functioning bar, and a poorly timed shuttle service. The local staff lacks training and most significantly leadership serving an international cliental. Several customers checked out early and most had problems that appeared to be communciations related. Thje owners need to wake up and staff the place with professionally trained hotel management personnel, and not a low cost local staffer without the necessary skills. AVOID THIS PROPERTY.

This charming, country-side hotel is about a 15-minute drive away from Ubud town center. The hotel has spectacular views of the Ayung river and surrounding jungle. Two great infinity pools let you enjoy your stay in this idyllic and quiet hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean with faux marble throughout the room and bathroom. The service in the hotel could be a bit more proactive though, e.g. you have to find a waiter to order drinks/food to consume at the pool. Also the breakfast buffet was rather basic. It's probably better to eat outside the hotel.

The service is excellent, the hotel staff are friendly and they would go the extra miles to help make your stay pleasant. Although the hotel is a little further from the Ubud central they offer a shuttle service which you could arrange at your convenient with the hotel staff. The view is breathtaking too. I would recommend it to people who would like to explore outside Ubud central and love nature walks.
