    We stayed at the Tokyo Station hotel with our older son at the start of our Japan family vacation. What a great hotel. Very comfortable room, beds, and staff. Breakfast was amazing and such a convenient base from which to explore Tokyo or take the train to further locations. GREAT experience and can't wait to come back again!

    Staying at The Tokyo Station Hotel is a truly unique experience. Despite being located in one of the busiest and most vibrant districts in the city, the hotel is remarkably quiet and peaceful, allowing you to completely unwind after a long day. Pros: Unbeatable Convenience: Situated right inside Tokyo Station, getting to different areas of the city—whether via the JR lines, Shinkansen, or subway—could not be easier. Exceptional Cleanliness & Heritage: The hotel boasts a rich, long history, yet it is impeccably maintained and very clean, blending classic European elegance with modern comfort. Ultimate Comfort (Even When Sick): I happened to fall ill during my stay, and I can vouch for how well I slept. The room environment is deeply restful and conducive to recovery. While they do not carry foam pillows, the staff thoughtfully offered a "bean" (beaded) pillow alternative, which turned out to be quite comfortable and acceptable. Worth the Investment: While the room rate is definitely on the higher side, experiencing the service, history, and unmatched location makes it well worth it in the end. Cons: Long Walk to Rooms: Because of the historic building's grand scale, there is quite a distance from the main escalators/elevators to the guest rooms. Navigating the long corridors can feel a bit burdensome when you are traveling with heavy luggage. Final Verdict: If you value historic charm, flawless cleanliness, and supreme convenience, The Tokyo Station Hotel is hard to beat. Though the price tag is steep and the hallways are long, the exceptional quality and tranquil stay right in the center of Tokyo make it completely worth the splurge. Highly recommended!

    I would like to express my disappointment with the service provided by the check-in staff. In contrast, the bell staff who assisted with our luggage were courteous and helpful. Apart from that, the overall experience felt consistently unprofessional. This visit will be the last time we stay at this property. We have previously been treated poorly, and unfortunately the situation has not improved. I am not sure whether the issue is related to language ability or the staff’s attitude, but the front-desk staff were notably impolite. We have given the hotel multiple opportunities to improve, yet the service has remained disappointing. Considering our long-standing loyalty—having stayed there more than 19 times (and over 20 times in total)—it is disappointing that we have experienced issues repeatedly over the past two years. Given this experience, I do not believe the hotel truly deserves recognition such as “Best Luxury Hotel.
