    I’ve stayed at this hotel many times. It’s in a great location. Parking garage nearby. Clean room, comfortable bed. The only complaint I have this time is the man at the front desk who checked us in. He was completely unwelcoming. He never made eye contact with us or made us feel welcome in any way. Not sure if he hasn’t been trained well or was just having a bad day, but that kind of behavior is quite unusual for a hotel of this stature. A small detail, but he even gave us 2 cookies even though we were clearly 4 people standing in front of him. We had to ask for 2 more cookies which the other female front desk employee heard and quickly stepped in a gave them to us. It made for an uncomfortable situation. A weird experience indeed.

    The location is pretty convenient considering it’s near the Newport Path station and Newport Mall. However, the overall facilities and service are below expectation for a Hilton brand and price that I have paid. The room is very dim without lighting, there is no desk lamp and electric socket or charging ports at the working desk. Therefore, can’t use lab top and do work (eg checking emails) there. The only charging outlet is at the bedside table. The aircon is noisy, the bathroom wall (with wall papers) is a bit worn out. In general, I would stay in another hotel next time.
