    A nice spacious hotel near White House. Beautiful and clean! Love this hotel for its location too… located within walking distance of many nice eateries and monuments. A nice Macy near it too.

    My husband and I spent a weekend at Grant Hyatt Washington, and here are some thoughts after our stay; Positive facts of the hotel - 1. The room - it was recently renovated with sleek interior and plenty power outlets. 2. Elevators - there are 6 elevators that you can catch fairly quickly. 3. Accessibility - the location was great with easy access to multiple metro lines. 4. Area safety - the area was very safe with pedestrian traffic and polices/securities patrolling. I personally felt safe walking at 11pm Friday evening. Now some unfortunate facts of the hotel - 1. Poor water pressure - it was so weak that it was slightly better than just dribbles. This was the biggest letdown. 2. Destination/ Resort fee - the hotel charges $30 destination fee. The benefits of the destination fee is almost nothing. It’s not a resort with extra amenities such as spa/pool. Most benefits are discounts for the tours or rental bikes. They should just include that in the total price and don’t even mention the destination fees as it’s just useless. 3. Check-in line - there was a long line for check-in around 7pm. All check-in desks were fully staffed but each check-in process was long. If the hotel cares personal touch to the service, they should add more staff, or add self check-in kiosks besides check-in desks. 4. Noise level of hotel guests - the hotel walls must not have good soundproof. And this is out of the hotel’s control, we woke up due to a screaming child and yelling parents one morning, which was not a great way to start a day. Also at 11pm on Saturday, the guests in the next door came back and started to party so loud until past midnight. I wish the floors for the families, singles, and couples could be all on separate floors for the benefit of different types of guests (maybe designate “quiet floors/zones”?) Overall we had a pleasant stay, but honestly, decent water pressure will make me choose another hotel next time.

    Hotel is generally nice but not good value for money. We didn’t have the best stay. Our room (514) is right next to the house keeping’s store room. Every morning around 8, they’re making a lot of noise. It sounded like they’re in our room which felt very weird. The sound proofing must be so poor we can hear they opening the plastic rubbish bags and their shuffling feet. No chance of sleeping in at all. All the room doors banged really loudly when guests close their doors. It felt like I was staying in a hospital with constant motion & activities. The bed is too soft with no support. The pressure of the shower is too low.
