Siri Nakornpink Chiang Mai Hotel

This stay was fairly close to the airport. It was clean, quiet, comfy and staff was nice.

I stayed in the Siri Nakornpink Hotel (Chiang Mai) for nine nights. My room was an Executive Suite. The hotel is very nice. I recommend this hotel and would probably stay there again if I return to Chiang Mai. What I liked about the hotel was the room size and overall cleanliness. The cleaning staff does a fantastic job. The facility and room adornments were on the high-end and not typical for hotels I have stayed in while visiting Thailand. So, the visual presentation was pleasing. The maintenance staff take very good care of the building and the grounds. My room had a small refrigerator that had a separate freezer and refrigerator compartment. That was quite nice. However, there is no microwave in the room, and you are prohibited from cooking in your room; so, I am not sure why they put in such a nice refrigerator/freezer combination. The room was comfortable. There were closets to hang clothes and some shelves to store items. The bathroom shower is very large and nice. There was a tub in the bathroom that I did not use. There was air-conditioning in three rooms: master bedroom, second bedroom, and living room. They all worked very well. There is a good-sized pool with plenty of lounges and chairs. But there are some ‘nits’ to understand. There are a few vacant lots to the front and the side of the hotel. These lots are the home to at least one dozen stray dogs. At night they all bark and there are many dog fights. This behavior is not all night, but it did happen every night I was there. The fighting and yelping would wake me up. It was annoying. My room was on the third floor at the front of the hotel. If I do stay in the Siri Nakornpink hotel again, I would probably try to get a room at the back of the hotel. There is no security safe in the room. I carry a lot of cash and have very expensive computer and camera equipment. I never felt like the staff would steal anything, but I was forced to carry all the cash with me whenever I left the room. I normally do not carry all the cash with me unless I am traveling to another hotel or to the airport to catch a flight. So, I would have to try and ‘hide’ my computer and the camera equipment that I was not taking with me. I do have a locking, hard-side, camera container, so I would just leave most of the equipment in its travel container. What is a concern is that the hotel requires you to sign a document that states they are not responsible for any theft or loss. So, yup, I find this annoying that there is no secure way to store valuable in the actual room. There is a breakfast available. I did not pay for the breakfast with my room. I am glad that I did not include the breakfast with my room rate. I did try the breakfast once. It costs 250 baht. It is a fixed menu breakfast. There is no buffet style service. There was sufficient food served but it was not very tasty to me. So, I only ate the breakfast once. The restaurant is only available for breakfast. I do believe you can rent the restaurant for special events, but it is not an on-site restaurant that you can use to take your meals. Fortunately, Grab Meal Delivery is an option – one that I used frequently. There are some street food vendors along the road, but they just did not seem like healthy options and were not very clean. There is a 7-Eleven that is about a five-minute walk down the street. You pretty much need your own transportation, or you will have to hire a ride to get somewhere (like restaurants or shopping). But the street the hotel is on is not a major thoroughfare, so it is reasonable quite (which is nice). Parking in front of the hotel is limited. There is a vacant lot next to the hotel fence, but there is no security or lighting.

I stayed here for 5 days to recoup before heading to Bangkok. It was nice and quiet. The staff was mostly kind and professional. The man helping me most of the time (maybe a manager) was very accommodating when serving me breakfast (I have a lot of food sensitivities) and he also remained professional during my stay there. The maids like to keep the rooms clean, even though I believe I was maybe the only one there at the time. That being said they were very attentive and kind if I needed help. There’s a pool with sunbathing chairs. And breakfast was 250฿ where you get a lot of food, enough to feed two! The small issue that I had, which you’ll have anywhere in Thailand, were the mosquitoes and other bugs (spiders, flies) that would occasionally pop up in the room with me - so I had unexpected guests sometimes, haha. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay! I will recommended for tourists to learn Thai to make things easier on yourselves staying in this area. Some locals were nice about it, some weren’t (especially at the 7-eleven nearby). Oh yea! There’s a 7-Eleven like 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. And there’s an ATM up the road!
