First the pros: - The views and the grounds are very nice. - The breakfast is very generous and delicious, and the cafe and staff were very good. - The pool is a nice place to relax and view the mountains. Now the cons: - Our bathroom was horrible. The bumgun leaked continuously, so the floor was always wet. The sink plumbing was not connected correctly, so the sink leaked from the underneath plumbing, also contributing to the wet floor. When the electric water heater was turned on to take a shower, the bathroom light would flicker horribly and go out for seconds at a time. It was extremely disturbing as the bathrooms have no other light source so it would become pitch dark. Fortunately, it never stayed off completely; small consolation. - The room had a fan, which we enjoyed using, but the only reasonable place to plug it in required unplugging the refrigerator. Hardly ideal. - While brushing my teeth in the morning, the water glass slipped from my hand, landed in the sink and broke. On checkout, I let them know about the accident, and my honesty was immediately rewarded with a 100 baht charge for the glass. Mind you , these are cheap run of the mill water glasses that can't cost more than 10 baht each. I truly believe that accidents like these are part of doing business and should be absorbed by the business, but I would have been ok with a nominal charge of 10 or 20 baht. But 100 baht; I left feeling completely ripped off.

Way off the beaten path from the city and chaos there is this beautiful spot. Nice cafe right there. Even had some live music that I had no idea what they were saying, but absolutely loved the vibe with a beer and some French fries.

Gorgeous view and nice rooms with all the basic amenities you would need to be comfy. The view from the pool is amazing. They have a restaurant that provides breakfast as part of the package. Great place for families. Bicycles are provided too. There is a live band that plays every evening from 6pm to 8pm and the sound can be heard from the rooms, for those who like music.

I had a wonderful stay at Rai Bumrungphol resort. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Best of all, it is very affordable. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway."
