    Okay, it is true that some of the rooms are unacceptable and barely livable. They are in urgent need of renovation. However, the staff are incredibly helpful, polite, and patient. Before judging, it is important to keep in mind that the staff are not responsible for the condition of the facilities. They simply work with the resources available to them, and they are always willing to help. We originally booked a small room, and as soon as we arrived, we asked for a larger one. They immediately offered us three different options. We chose one without knowing that the air conditioning was not working. They immediately brought in a technician, but so that we would not have to wait, they also moved us to another room, which was wonderful. After four days, we left and stayed somewhere else, but unfortunately something came up and we had to return. This time, they gave us a smaller room that was available, and unfortunately, it was genuinely terrible. The mattress was awful, and we woke up feeling sore all over. The drain was blocked and the water pressure was almost nonexistent. Whenever we turned on the bathroom sink, the shower drain would flood, bringing up dirt and an awful sewage smell. The water was also cold, so we had to take showers with cold water. Sadly, our last few days there were a nightmare. However, the person I blame is the hotel owner, not the staff. The staff did everything they could with the resources available to them. They were incredibly patient with us throughout our stay and were always willing to help. They even kindly agreed to store our luggage for a while after check out, which we really appreciated. The food was also nice, with a great variety of dishes and delicious flavours. Except from our last day the croissants were burned. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the names of the staff members to thank them personally here, but they were all absolutely wonderful. Overall, the place is peaceful and beautiful. I truly believe that with a proper renovation, combined with the wonderful and helpful staff they already have, this could easily become one of the top hotels in the city.

    I even upgraded my room on site after being unhappy. I still would not go back again even if I was not paying. Upgraded room was better that basic room.

    From the photos, it was not what I was expecting. I dont need much, but the truth is always nice. The room was a bit shoddy. The sheets had a blood stain in it. The walls were not clean. The freezer was full of frost and a spilled drink. If you just need a place to lay your head, then it's ok. If you want better, choose another place. The air-conditioning was beyond perfect. It must be new. That was a plus..
