Chaweng Park Place

I would absolutely not recommend staying at this hotel. Our experience was horrible, and despite bringing these issues to the hotel’s attention, they refused to offer us any refund, discount, compensation, or anything at all for the inconvenience. There was the biggest cockroach in our room, and the patio/balcony door could not be locked. The bedsheets were stained, the walls were super dirty, and the floors were so filthy that the bottoms of our feet would become brown just from walking around the room. The bathroom was especially disgusting. It smelled like sewage/feces throughout our stay, and the water was sometimes brown, yellow, or orange. We also had cold shower water during our stay. The toilet did not flush properly, and I actually had to remove the top of the toilet tank and put my hand inside the mechanism to manually flush it EVERY SINGLE TIME…. Housekeeping was also extremely poor. During our three-night stay, our room was only cleaned once, and only after we specifically asked. We put out the sign requesting housekeeping, left for the day, and came back to find that the room still had not been cleaned. We then had to ask them directly. Our towels were not changed either, so we had to go to reception ourselves to ask for clean towels. They also did not regularly restock the drinking water in our room, so we constantly had to ask for it, and on one occasion we were even refused water. The refrigerator in the room was also warm and did not properly keep things cold. We understand that no hotel is perfect and small problems can happen, but this was not one minor inconvenience. We experienced problems with cleanliness, hygiene, security, plumbing, hot water, housekeeping, towels, drinking water, and the refrigerator, all during the same stay. We explained the situation and asked the hotel for a reasonable partial refund/discount because of everything we experienced. They would not offer us anything at all for the inconvenience. For what we paid, we expected at minimum a clean, safe and functional room. Unfortunately, that is not what we received. Based on our experience, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel. Only positive thing that I would say is the location and that one cleaning lady that was super sweet.

A great hotel with a lovely pool within a stones throw of the action of Chaweng. Located at the back of Chaweng beach area, you are still only a quick walk down to the beach itself. You are also right on the doorstep of Central Samui shopping mall and its famous night market. The hotel rooms are large but slightly dated, but the AC has been replaced and works excellently. The pool is fantastic and is set back up the hill slightly, away from any road noise. The staff were very friendly and always greeted us with a smile.

You have to walk up the hill. room is okay not that clean but it’s not too bad. Good enough for what you pay.
