Haadtien Beach Resort

The resort is extremely beautiful, the facilities are great, best pools , everything is clean and the amazing views, great breakfast. We stayed at hideaway villa- it’s a regular room, standard and not so equipped. The rooms are little bit far, expat that -everything is amazing.

This is a gorgeous location. It was good to have a motorbike for getting around the island as the restaurant was super expensive. Nice menu but could have been more Thai. Room with pool was gorgeous but considering it wasn’t on the beach it was very overpriced for what it was.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here! Main problem is the location, the views and the beach is amazing, however if you're not driving a motorbike it's hard and expensive to get around the island and do more than just hang out at the resort. Breakfast was nice but pretty basic.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay and feel that this experience was completely unacceptable. I made my reservation more than a month in advance, yet I was given one of the rooms located at the very back of the property — the furthest and most inconvenient location. Given that I booked so far in advance, I genuinely do not understand why I was assigned such a room. The condition of the room was also far below the standard I expected. The room was extremely old and, even more concerning, I found millipedes and worms inside the room. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel room and raises serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. The situation regarding the swimming pool was another major disappointment. The hotel’s swimming pool was closed, so I asked the staff what alternative arrangements were available. I was specifically told by the hotel staff to use the swimming pool at the Beach Club instead. However, when I went there, the Beach Club staff told me to leave because the pool was not open yet. What made the situation even worse was the way I was spoken to — the staff’s tone was extremely abrupt and unwelcoming. This was clearly an internal communication issue within the hotel. I simply followed the instructions given to me by your own staff, yet I was the one who ended up being turned away after making the trip there. The Wi-Fi was also extremely slow and unreliable, which further affected the overall quality of the stay. Another issue was the poor communication and coordination between housekeeping and the reception team. After we had to move rooms, my friend called reception to request additional tissues because we needed them in the new room. Instead of being able to handle such a simple request efficiently, we had to make several calls and wait an unreasonably long time just to receive extra tissues. This is not an isolated communication problem. Throughout our stay, we repeatedly experienced poor communication between different departments and staff members. When I initially tried to explain my concerns, the information provided by the staff was unclear, and they were unable to properly understand or resolve the situation. I had to wait until Grace, a Thai staff member, came to speak with me before someone finally understood what I was trying to communicate. I should not have to repeatedly explain basic issues, make multiple phone calls for simple requests, or wait for a specific staff member just to have my concerns properly understood and addressed. I paid for a hotel stay expecting a certain standard of cleanliness, comfort, service, and professionalism. Instead, I experienced an old and poorly maintained room, insects inside the room, extremely slow Wi-Fi, incorrect information regarding the swimming pool, poor coordination between the hotel and Beach Club, and inefficient communication between housekeeping and reception. What concerns me most is that these were not simply minor inconveniences. They reflect a lack of communication, coordination, and basic service standards across multiple areas of the hotel. This entire experience was frustrating and far below what I would expect from a hotel. Making a reservation more than a month in advance should not result in this level of service and lack of coordination. I expect the hotel management to take this complaint seriously, investigate these issues properly, and provide an appropriate explanation and resolution. I also strongly recommend that the management review the communication and coordination between reception, housekeeping, and the Beach Club, as these issues significantly affected our overall experience. I hope the hotel will take this feedback seriously and ensure that future guests do not have to experience the same level of inconvenience and disappointment.
