We absolutely love this place. Close to town but not to close,quiet and relaxing, staff and grounds excellent, views amazing, pool and rooms good. I am going to start with the food there. We thought the food was very good but no one was ever at the restaurant. So good in fact that we ate almost every meal there which is very unusually for us. We hope the chef stays but with such few customers we worry he will not. You have a view of most everywhere on the property of the river. We stayed in 3 different rooms and all had great river views as do all the rooms but the standard rooms. Definitely get and upgraded room here, well worth it. Rooms were all unique in their own way. I can't say I had a favorite one, they all had their different good points and all had good hot water and AC. We looked at the family room(3 BR & kitchen) and it looked huge. Plus it is right next to they pool. Pool was good and on one end you could look out at the river also. It is an older resort but well kept up. Many paths and plants of all kinds. Many butterflies and insects so be prepared if you do not get along with insects. There is also a raft on the river which we spent a lot on time one. At 1100 the elephants from the elephant reserve across the river come out to bath and drink. Very fun to watch. We were told they come to drink 3 times a day but we only caught them at 1100. The staff was alway very friendly and pretty much let us do what we wished. We will definitely be returning to this resort hopefully with family. Its been hard writing about this place because I don't want everyone to know about it and ruin the place, but I also don't want to just keep it to myself.

Negatives. The room is not what I booked, the receptionist tried to tell me it was, but there was nothing deluxe about room 203, and totally different from the pictures, so bear in mind you might not get the room you pay for. Positives. Great place within nature, calm and relaxing. Walk 2 minutes down the steps to the river and you can watch the elephants bath and play a Ross the river which was awesome. Nice staff, food ok. Would I stay again, 100% . Value for money.

We've been here before and we liked it. This year we booked the log house for 5 nights. We booked 3 months before just to find out a few weeks before our trip that we either accept an upgrade or the booking will be cancelled. We took the upgrade which proved to be two separate rooms, nothing like the log house. That was no upgrade. We will not return here.
