    It was a nice 2 nights stay. We had a beautiful sea view room with comfortable bed and the location is great for those who search for a quiet spot.

    We had a very disappointing stay at Tharathip Resort in Koh Phangan, and unfortunately it was mainly due to both the cleanliness of the room and the way management treated us. When we first arrived, the room clearly had not been properly cleaned. There were insects in the room right away, including a cockroach, mosquitos, and other small bugs. The bedding was also concerning — there appeared to be blood stains on the top sheet. In addition, there was hair on the floor, and we even found a used, dirty Q-tip on the ground. The toilet was visibly dirty and there was sand in the blankets. To make things worse, there was about a one-inch gap under the door, which seemed to allow insects to easily enter the room. The pool area also raised concerns for us. At one point we saw a live worm in the pool, which made us question how well the facilities were being maintained. Because of these issues, we contacted Agoda customer service to ask if we could cancel the remainder of our stay and move to another resort. Agoda told us they would like to help refund the remaining night but that the resort manager was not approving it. When we spoke to the manager in person, however, she told us the opposite — that she would have been happy to cancel the second night but that Agoda was the one not allowing it. Being given completely different answers from each side left us feeling stuck and frustrated, with no one willing to take responsibility or help resolve the situation. The most upsetting part of the experience was how rude and dismissive the management was throughout our stay. Instead of trying to help or even acknowledging the issues we raised, the manager’s attitude felt cold and unprofessional. This unfortunately continued when we checked out. Management accused us of stealing a towel. We calmly explained that we had not taken any towels and asked them to check again. After they checked, it appeared the towel wasn’t missing after all. Instead of apologizing for the false accusation, the manager simply acted as if the conversation never happened. Between the cleanliness issues, the confusing situation with Agoda, and the extremely rude behavior from management, this stay was very disappointing. The photos on Agoda also do not reflect the actual condition of the property. We normally try to be understanding when traveling, but unfortunately this was one of the worst hospitality experiences we’ve had, and we would not recommend staying here.
