    Our multigenerational family group of 13, ranging in age from 5 to 69, had a wonderful stay at Club Serena Resort. We occupied six different accommodation types—including an Ocean Suite, Tree House, two Pool View rooms, a Family Suite, a Casita King, and a Honeymoon Suite—so we had a good opportunity to experience the resort’s variety of rooms. The resort is small, intimate, and beautifully situated by the beach—perfect for a family gathering. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the fresh fruit baskets were a lovely welcome. The beds were very comfortable, with fluffy pillows and higher-thread-count linens. The thick towels and thoughtfully curated toiletries were also appreciated. Most importantly in the Cebu heat, we had no issues with the air-conditioning. The staff was outstanding from check-in to checkout. Everyone we encountered—from the front desk and restaurant team to the groundskeepers—was warm, helpful, and attentive. A special thank-you to Mariel, who quickly assisted me with a problem involving one of my prepaid reservations. I had accidentally entered the wrong check-in date, and I truly appreciated her prompt help in resolving the issue. We had dinner at the resort restaurant and were very pleased with the variety of food and drink choices. Our group mostly enjoyed fresh juices and other non-alcoholic refreshments. The sizzling sisig was an immediate favorite, especially among the expats in our family! Breakfast the next morning was à la carte, and the warm ube pandesal was another big hit. The pool was clean and pleasantly warm, which was especially appreciated by the Baby Boomers in our group, while the Gen Zs enjoyed the beach and sand. There was truly something for every generation. The resort’s greatest strength is its small size and intimate atmosphere. It felt private and peaceful, making it ideal for family togetherness. After busy days enjoying the many activities in Moalboal and Oslob, Club Serena was a quiet oasis to return to, relax, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together. The only downside is the local road leading to the resort, which is narrow and partly unpaved. However, once we arrived, the peaceful setting and wonderful resort experience made the journey worthwhile. For our family, Club Serena was a wonderful multigenerational retreat, and we would happily return.
