Cintai - Coritos Garden Hotel

Spacious room for our family of 5, with enough privacy per villa. Given the size of the place, it requires much walking including a lot of steps. While my dad is a senior, he was still able to walk and explore with us. As a family that likes walking, this was fine with us — a great way to exercise too. Some areas or things need to be fixed or replaced (eg. broken seats) but overall, the place was a great option when one needs a bit of time in nature. Food was good too.

We arrived more than a full hour in advance but the reception staff immediately checked if they can accommodate us a right away. They did. This is a nice place to stay when you want to rest your mind and lower your stress. You need to go to the restaurant if you want wi-fi access. The villa/room does not have television and internet. Instead, the place invites you to go for a walk in the lush park, and listen to the calm sound of nature. It is a place to quiet your thoughts and exercise digital detox. Ideal spot to meditate. Perfect place to read by the gazebos, pergolas, cabanas and your own terrace. The swimming pools are not heated, but not cold either. The room in the villa is spartan but quite spacious. The room for 2 can easily accommodate 4 people. Split type aircon in the room cools the room quickly. Bring your own room slippers though as they don’t provide one. There was strong water pressure from the hot and cold shower in the bathroom. The room is equipped with a personal refrigerator and we stacked ours with sodas, cold coffees and fruits we brought. The housekeeping politely asks your convenient time for them to clean the room. Meal price from the restaurant is reasonable. Most of their lunch/dinner dishes are good for 2-3 persons. We booked our stay inclusive of breakfast and the staff attentively refilled our cups with kapeng barako and our glasses with water. Shout out to Dodong who never fails to greet us with a smile whenever we cross paths in the vast expanse of garden. The staff are courteous, polite, friendly, kind and readily available. My friend had fever on our last evening. While they do not have a store inside for us to buy medicine, a male staff who was already done with his shift and already preparing to go home volunteered to buy paracetamol for us outside and delivered it straight to our villa. Definitely not part of his duty. Such helpful and thoughtful gestures from the Cintai Coritos staff are noticed, appreciated and remembered. They add charm to an already pleasant stay. Staff are nice and very proactive!

The room didn’t have an intercom or phone or any way to call the resort reception because there was no WiFi and barely any reception inside the cottage. Too many mosquitoes, no slippers provided.
