Property and facilities were old. More like a motel than a hotel. Location is the only advantage

I booked this hotel primarily because of its convenient location near the office I regularly visit in Makati. The hotel itself is old, with spacious rooms, but the facilities are clearly showing their age. I’ve encountered issues such as leaking bidets that soak your clothes, shower handles that come loose, and bathroom fixtures that appear one screw away from falling apart. Despite these issues, I never felt compelled to leave a negative review—until now. What finally pushed me to write this review was the blatant false advertising and the disappointing customer service. My booking confirmation clearly stated that the reservation included breakfast for two. While the free breakfast was not the reason I booked the hotel, it was a stated benefit and part of what I paid for. On the morning breakfast was supposed to be available, I called reception and was told there was no complimentary breakfast. The staff even mentioned that Agoda sometimes adds such inclusions to “spice up” listings and that this was not the first time guests had encountered the issue. I then contacted Agoda customer service and the experience was incredibly frustrating. Even after I sent a screenshot of my booking confirmation showing “Breakfast for 2” as a benefit, the agent repeatedly insisted that no free breakfast was included and kept referring to a paid breakfast option instead. Rather than addressing the actual documentation I provided, he simply continued repeating the same position. After going in circles for far too long, I gave up. This is no longer about a breakfast worth a few dollars. It’s about honoring what was advertised and what was confirmed in writing. When a hotel and booking platform fail to deliver a promised benefit and then refuse to acknowledge clear evidence, it becomes an issue of credibility and customer trust. Thumbs down to both the hotel and Agoda for false advertising and for handling a legitimate customer concern so poorly.

Great for budget, nice staff and room.

Place to sleep on, not to stay. Room booked was not prepared in advance. (Aircon/ref not opened beforehand). Little to no appliances hence this place is best to sleep not to stay. TV is not a smart tv. No heater as well. Old blankets were used (some with holes). During my stay, construction was on going til 5pm. Cable is not available - best to bring a OTG Flash Drive or card reader to use the TV in modern standards.
