    Great fun hotel near central Amsterdam. Cool decor and super friendly staff. Basic facilities and no lift so if you’re on the 4th floor it is a very steep 71 steps to get to your room.

    A truly amazing choice for a solo traveler, I had such a wonderful time staying here! The location is simply perfect, the staff is kind and very helpful, I didn't have any issue with cleanliness. Do keep in mind: This is a traditional building in the city, not a massive chain, understandably the rooms are smaller. It was perfect for me on my own and I'm sure there are larger rooms in the building if you're traveling with someone else. There's no elevator and the stairs are narrow. There's one toilet for each floor and the shower is shared with the whole building. I didn't have any issue with that, I was able to shower every single day without having to wait or running into someone. Water pressure and temperature adjust quite quickly, you can shower in Hellfire if you want, I was impressed. If you go into it aware of these parameters, you'll have an excellent time without any surprises. Breakfast had good variety, was very fresh and delicious. If you're like me and don't mind adapting to circumstances here and there, I do wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to you!
