We had a fantastic stay at the Ibis Amsterdam. The location simply couldn't be better - it's only a one-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station, making it incredibly easy to arrive, depart, and explore the city. There are also plenty of canal boat tour options right outside the hotel, which is perfect for first-time visitors wanting to see Amsterdam from the water. A short stroll from the hotel takes you into the heart of the city, with an abundance of excellent bars, cafés, and restaurants nearby. Everything felt easily accessible on foot. We stayed in a quad room, and one of the unexpected highlights was the view of the trains passing by the window. Despite being so close to the tracks, the soundproofing was excellent. The trains were surprisingly quiet and barely noticeable, so it never disturbed our sleep. The hotel also has a restaurant and a small supermarket/convenience store on-site. We didn't use either during our stay, but it was great knowing they were there if needed. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The only downside was that check-in was a little slow and took longer than expected. However, once checked in, everything else went smoothly. Overall, this is an excellent hotel in a superb location. Between the convenience of being next to Central Station, the canal cruises at your doorstep, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff, I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Excellent and strategic location to stay. Most touristy areas are accessible by walking/trams/metro/bus/train. Room is small but we were out wandering about most of the time anyways. The room was clean and comfy except for the air con which needed cleaning and servicing. Would stay here again
