This hotel is great if you rent a vehicle and are trying to save money. The nightly prices are lower than the major tourist hotels on the island, but the lower prices also means lower quality and expectations. This hotel is located 1-1.5 hours from the airport. You generally are driving through small towns on local roads rather than on the modern highways that the west side of the island has. The roads are tight at times. You will see wild dogs and some impoverished areas on the way. The hotel itself is fine. It is a few km away from any towns. The beach at the hotel is alright, but the water color and sand won’t match that of Flic En Flac. The hotel seems to appeal to young budget travelers, many on their honeymoons, and older couples in their 50s-70s. The food at their primary buffet-style restaurant is pricey, almost twice as much as Szymon’s Restaurant which is only a 3 minute walk up the street. The food itself was fairly bland. I didn’t make reservations for their other on-site restaurant, but I’m sure it is even pricier. The alcoholic beverage I ordered for dinner on my first didn’t appear to have any alcohol in it, which was disappointing because it was very expensive. The room itself was clean, spacious, and decent. Housekeeping does a great job. The phone in my room didn’t work, so I had to contact the manager via WhatsApp if I needed anything. If you were hoping for a late-night dip in the pool, it isn’t happening. It shuts down at 6pm. I used the hotel’s laundry service, and got back someone else’s clothes at first. Luckily I ultimately got all my clothes back. Any touristy activity on the island is about 1-2 hours away. A rental is a must, otherwise you’ll get ripped off by the taxis. In general, I’m happy I stayed here overall, mainly for the decent nightly price, but things could have been better.
