    We felt very welcome here, and our room was lovely - clean, nice views over the paddy fields, comfortable bed. We took a morning birdwatching tour with Saman which was great, as (unlike some other guides perhaps) he is both knowledgeable and speaks good Englush. Highly recommended.

    The comfort was very high quality and the view is great. Bed is super comfy, food provided by the host is flawless (no spicy vegetarian yes) and abundant (impossible to eat everything they prepare). The family is super friendly, helped to arrange many things, some other homestays failed to, so very grateful! Host also is a guide in Sinharaja so can book hike - very much recommended. Hike was very amazing, four types of snakes, scorpion and many other animals! One of the highlights of all Lanka! It costs a little more than some other homestays around but 100% worth it. If I come next time to Lanka, definitely spending several days just to chill there. Below the bungalow there is a pond, there leaves at many fish, at least one water monitor. Also, on the nearby electricity pole there was blue kingfisher and grey eagle with some other birds. On the rice fields peacocks are casuallg strolling. Postcard beautiful, very recommend!
