    My wife and I stayed at Regal Réseau Hotel & Spa for 2 nights (1 night Half Board and 1 night Bed & Breakfast) for our honeymoon. I had already mentioned in my booking that we were honeymooners because I wanted to surprise my wife with the special honeymoon amenities that were supposed to be included. Unfortunately, it seemed that nobody checked our booking properly. When I asked the front office about the honeymoon arrangements, the staff member told me he would “try to do something,” but nothing happened. The surprise I had planned for my wife was completely missed. It felt very careless and unprofessional. As a Sous Chef working in a 5-star resort in the Maldives, I understand hospitality standards very well, and this was clearly a service failure. The room itself was clean and had a good view, which was the only positive part of our stay. The food, however, was very disappointing. We were given a so-called set menu, but only the main course could be selected. The soup and starter were already fixed, which is not what most hotels would consider a proper set menu. Basic restaurant service standards were also missing: ● We had to repeatedly ask for drinking water instead of it being offered. ● Bread was served after we had almost finished our soup, whereas it should have been served beforehand. ● Staff were not attentive or friendly. Regarding the food quality: ● The Pesto Pasta was overcooked and loaded with cream, which is not authentic pesto. ● The Mongolian Rice tasted mainly of ketchup and lacked proper flavor. ● The meal was so disappointing that we decided to leave after the main course and skip dessert. Breakfast was only average. One serious concern was that many of the cups used for curd and yogurt appeared dirty and stained. Better cleaning procedures and proper chemicals should be used to maintain hygiene standards. The final disappointment came during check-out. Our room water had already been finished, so I politely asked for one bottle of water before leaving. The front office staff told me to go to the restaurant on the 6th floor and buy one. After paying for the stay and experiencing all the service failures, this response showed a complete lack of hospitality and guest care. Overall, the room quality was good, but the food, service, attention to detail, and hospitality standards were far below expectations. This was especially disappointing for a honeymoon stay. I would not recommend this hotel to travelers looking for genuine hospitality and a memorable experience. This version is firm, professional, and more likely to be taken seriously by Agoda, the hotel management, and future travelers.

    At around 4 am, I think a band is practicing music and started playing loudly. You can hear it in the room and if you are a light sleeper, you will wake up! I’m writing this review as it’s happening and still going strong at 5:11 am!!!
