Shinshin Hotel Jeju Worldcup

- The receptionist was extremely rude and unfriendly. I arrived at 11 AM and wanted to leave my luggage until check-in at 3 PM. The hotel specifically says that guests should get a luggage tag, but when I asked to leave my luggage, the receptionist told me that the tag was not necessary and simply told me to leave it there. The luggage storage area was separated from the reception desk and could be accessed by anyone. How could she guarantee that my luggage would be safe from being taken by someone else? If the hotel has a luggage-tag system for security, I don't understand why the receptionist refused to give me one. Because of this, I had no choice but to carry my luggage around for four hours until check-in. - The room was messy and dirty. As shown in the photos, the TV was mounted in a very strange position, and the ceiling near the AC was visibly wet. - The bedroom lighting was far too dim. If you need to work or read in the room at night, I would not recommend this hotel.

I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, provided a wide variety of food, and coffee was good.

This seemed like an older hotel, but our room was clean and overall well maintained. We stayed for four nights toward the end of summer and considering the price, felt it offered good value. There were a few issues worth mentioning. The air conditioning seemed to run continuously rather than shutting off once it reached the set temperature. This may have just been an issue with our particular room. More concerning was the TV, which was barely hanging onto the wall. I called the front desk and asked about switching rooms because I did not want to be held responsible if I accidentally bumped into it and it fell. Oddly, someone from the front desk had to come up to the room to verify the issue. They offered us another room, but it was a lower room class than what we had reserved. I would have expected at least the same room category, if not an upgrade, given the situation. We decided to stay in our original room and simply asked them to note on our account that we would not be responsible if anything happened to the TV. Our floor appeared to have been semi-remodeled, or at least updated somewhat because the alternative room they showed us looked noticeably older and had more visible wear and tear. Housekeeping is available, but you have to request it. Each day they hung a bag on the door with two sets of fresh towels and bottled water. We simply placed used towels and larger trash outside the room, and they picked everything up. The front desk staff member we dealt with spoke very little English, which made communication a bit more difficult, but we were still able to work through everything. The hotel is a little farther from the main areas, but transportation is convenient. There is a bus stop almost directly outside the hotel, and the airport bus also stops there, which was a big plus. Overall, this is not a luxury hotel and there are signs of age, but the room was clean, transportation was convenient, and the price-to-value ratio was good. Despite the issues we experienced, I would stay here again.

I'm not happy at all just realized I'm missing my very expensive lipstick and lip balm these were brought with me on vacation but when I'm checking after a week of returning I cannot find them . Also someone did come into my room to clean and my bags were opened so I'm very upset about that because that was a gift .
