    Award winning contemporary design set in Karuizawa forest. It's right off a fairly busy 2 lane road, but the siting and thoughtful design brilliantly handles that. Staff is friendly and professional. Management is graciously welcoming. English is spoken for non Japanese. Food is outstanding. Will stay again I hope.

    It is beautiful architecture. The facility have much room to improve for the price. The shower is built in a strange corner in the room, where water would splash out. There aren't any amenity (fridge, TV) in the room. It is summer time but the pajamas provided is for winter. Wish there are more breakfast/dinner option other than the 1 restaurant. Also no activities is provided by the hotel, which would be great if there are some activities guess can sign up. Overall staffs were very nice, and beautifully built hotel. But there are lots of room to improve on the stay experience for guess.
