    Unfortunately, Via Inn came last among the hotels I stayed at during this trip. The room type I booked was unavailable, but what disappointed me most was the senior staff’s robotic response, repeatedly saying it was not the hotel’s fault and that I could complain to Agoda. After checking in at around 10pm and experiencing further delay at reception, I asked for just one additional hour for late check-out the next morning, but was firmly told it would cost ¥1,000 per hour. The service lacked empathy and a guest-oriented approach. The room also had several shortcomings: only one very hard pillow, an unknown stain in the bathtub, slow lifts with long waiting times, and apparently only one microwave on Level 2 serving the entire hotel. The air-conditioning control panel is inconveniently located away from the bed, so you need to get up to adjust it during the night. The bathroom is small, which is common in Japan, but lacks additional shelving for ladies’ toiletries. The old-style Panasonic hairdryer also takes a long time to dry your hair. There are other hotel brands in Japan within a similar price range that offer better service, more thoughtful room facilities and even a public hot bath. Good facilities alone are not enough—good service and attention to guests are what make the difference.

    Considering Tokyo's pricing, this is quite a decent hotel with great value for money. Above all, the location is fantastic! It's close to the subway station and has multiple lines, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The breakfast is pretty good, and the public bath (onsen/large bath) was especially wonderful. Overall, it's a convenient, clean hotel that I would gladly stay at again.

    Room was fine, toilet is really small. Location is 5-10min walk from subway. 7/11 just right beside the hotel. However, several staff could improve their English as they are not understandable. Hotel felt more like a 3 star rather than 4 star as advertised. No water is provided in the rooms, no water coolers and one female staff asked us to drink from the bathroom tap. Definitely will not be back.
