The owners, the staff, the cleanliness and the food are EXTRAORDINARY. They are truly next level, and because of this I can overlook that our bedroom was on the third floor and their was no elevators, and the pool which was one of our reasons to stay there, was not fully functional. Could be because it was end of season. Normally stairs are not an issue but we had an elderly group. The staff took care of our heavy bags. I would definitely recommend La Maggioressa, however in October it doesn’t look like the Oasis in the picture and its location, Casamicciola, not in the prettiest part of town. That said all types of transit options are a small 5 minute walk down more stairs 😊

The welcome, staff and facilities are great.
The breakfasts were fabulous.
There is also the additional Thermae spa/swimming pool which is fantastic for using after a days exploring.
Value for money at the location is great.
The only downside I would say, is the room we had was on the 1st floor , parallel to the road. Therefore each night, up till around midnight/1am, you would be able to hear the traffic driving past and accelerating. It either stopped you from getting to sleep or would abruptly wake you from sleep. Even with the shutters and windows closed it could be heard. However due to the heat, and no aircon in our room, we needed to leave the windows open. That said, we would definitely stay again, but choose a room more into the complex.
Franz and his mother were amazing hosts and nothing was too much for them.
