    At the price listed on the front door, which you will pay if you dont have a booking, this place is very bad value. At a good discount, i still wavered quite a bit before recommending. Absolutely zero staff and the self checkin was decidedly un user friendly. I had 3 goes before i got the name right, there is no space bar on the touch screen, you have to type your name exactly like the booking with no spaces. You only get one key card even though it says issuing two. You have to walk 2 blocks to speak to human staff at the main hotel. I say speak in a figurative sense, as they dont speak English there either. There is a sign saying they removed all the microwaves, which was awesome information. There is a large cafe style coffee machine in the foyer but not functional either or no one to operate it, couldnt tell which. Bit of an escape room type hunt trying to find the wifi password in the room, and i wont spoil the fun giving you clues. The rooms are surprisingly large, though a lot of space is wasted in a corridor inside the room, but still handy to keep luggage. Walls are very thin and guests voices in adjoining rooms and the hallway can be heard very clearly, so be sure not to talk secrets. The redeeming feature is that you can use the excellent Onsen in the main hotel, though you have to bring towels and somehow communicate using a translate to the receptionist that you wish to use the Onsen in the main hotel which is two blocks away. It is also walking distance to the canal. On the whole though, i would adve staying in Sapporo and doing a day trip to Otaru.

    Basically, if anyone need an affordable place to stay, especially for a couple. This place is a good one. Have a standard facilities for a budget hotel. The room was spacious. And I got access for onsen, but at different place. There’s not any staffs here, so doing check in and check out by machine. Btw, smoking area are outside, beside the main door.

    We stayed for one night, and self check in was hassle free, only thing is quite small for us to open our large luggage~ overall experience was good.
