    Nice space with an eating area. Beds small and futon very uncomfortable. Needs bigger tv. However overall a pleasant stay

    We walked in and was transported to a traditional and modern spacious home away from home. It was the only unit on the floor. The high tech conveniences were unexpected. The check in went smoothly. They took out luggage in for a few days ahead of us. Although the hotel has no restaurant, all the food places are right outside the doorstep. We love the people and places in Kyoto! We would stay here again.

    The hotel is small and lovely. Located in a quiet neighbourhood and with close distance to the Shirakawa river, morning and evening strolls are extremely enjoyable. There is also a water dispenser machine in the common room, which saves us all the hassle of buying bottled water. The room is beautifully designed, spacious and clean. We would definitely come back again!

    Probably need to give better or thicken futons bed. The tatami mats are very tough and gives you body aches after a night sleep with those thin mattress
