    I stayed at "That Sounds Good" for two nights and I wish I could have stayed longer! Everything about this accommodation is wonderful. The location, the unique style of the café / Inn, the food and the wonderful hosts made it a fantastic experience. Pros and cons. The Inn is about 30 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop. However you can arrange with the hosts to pick you up from the bus terminal. If you don't have any luggage it's a nice walk along the shore of the lake. The rooms have a sitting area but the bedroom is in the loft up steep stairs. The rooms also don't have private toilets or bathrooms. However there are only 4 rooms so I found the common area toilets and washrooms to be sufficient. There's also a public Japanese style bathroom which you can reserve. The bath is shaped like a grand piano and there's a speaker system that you can voice activate with your choice of music! This sums up the unique and stylish "vibe" that I really enjoyed at "That Sounds Good." I had delicious Japanese style breakfast which was made using local ingredients. I also booked diner which was just as delicious. If you like Jazz (I do!) you will love this place. Even if you're not interested in Jazz, but want to stay in a place that has a unique character - lake, mountains, local food, relaxing atmosphere with wonderful, kind hosts you should stay at "That Sounds Good." Or just visit for a coffee!

    I spent two nights at That Sounds Good Inn and I wish I could have spent longer there! The Inn is located on the shores of Lake Tazawako, and is very stylish, from the cafe area, to the guest rooms, the bathroom, the food and drink. The cafe / Inn was built by the owners and it reflects their character. Very relaxed, friendly and kind. Breakfast was included, it was Japanese style and included Akita produce. Yuli-san explained what each of the dishes were in excellent English. I went walking around the lake and took the bus that circles the lake. As the sun was sinking Swans, ducks and other birds came to the Lake. After a fantastic sunset over the surrounding in mountains, I returned to the Inn for a bath and dinner. The bathroom is Japanese style but with the Inns stylish twist - the bath is in the shape of a grand piano and there's a speaker that you can ask to play your taste in music! I booked dinner at the Inn and that was just as delicious as breakfast Akita style produce. After dinner I watched Jazz on the projection screen whilst drinking local sake and chatting to Tatsuya-san. I love Jazz music and so does Tatsuya-san. The cafe holds live Jazz sessions at various times during the year and the whole cafe / bar area is decorated with instruments/ posters and Jazz memorabilia. There is usually Jazz streaming through the public areas of the Inn. You don't have to be a fan of Jazz to stay - (but you would enjoy it even more if you are) the location, food, friendly, kind owners and the whole relaxed atmosphere is wonderful. Just a few things that might be a concern to some people - but not me - If you don't have a car the Inn is about a 30-minute walk from the major bus terminal. However you can arrange with Tatsuya-san to drop you off or pick you up. If you don't have luggage it a nice walk along the lake shore. The rooms have a sitting area and the beds are in a loft which you climb a pretty step staircase to reach. The rooms don't have private toilets are bathroom / showers. Yo have to res
