    Beautiful hotel with views of the forest. Liked the convenient onsite ski shop for ski rentals. Great end of day daily happy hour with good range of snacks. Nice onsen too. Wonderful , ample breakfast included. Dinner also good but pricey.

    My plan for checking out was to leave the luggages in the hotel and pick them up later of the day after skiing. My daughter, who went to the slope earlier accidentally brought the room key with her. The receptionist, without pre-warning of such a fee when checking in, just spitted out a ridiculous amount of JPY3,000. ( Even the ski pass deposit is only JPY1,000) I asked if it was possible to get the refund when she came back from skiing to pick up the luggage, which will be before 5:00pm. They rejected and gave me the reason that when the next customer arrives before 5:00pm they have to make a new key, as if this kind of key card is not something reusable, as if they don’t have any spare ones to circulate. As someone who spends at least one fourth of the year in hotels, I’m confident to say that this is the most unfriendly gesture that I have ever experienced of all hotels around the world. By the way, if they really want to set up such a penalty rule for the guests, they should hand out the information at the time of checking in as many hotels do. Very unprofessional as well. No gym. Shuttle bus schedule not so compatible with ski resort opening hours. Since it’s not possible to walk to any ski resort, the expected compensation should be the environment as a whole. This checking out experience makes me feel so bad especially after you paid a fortune for the room rates. Will not go back.
