Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro

My daughter and I stayed at Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro for 8 days, and it was an excellent base for our trip. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including complimentary coffee and tea, a humidifier, bath salts, toothbrushes, toothpaste, a hairbrush, cotton swabs, tissues, and other toiletries. The hair dryer was of excellent quality, and the pillows were just right—not too fluffy and not too flat—so we had a restful sleep every night. The bathroom was another highlight. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the bathtub was perfect for unwinding after a full day of exploring. An iron was also available upon request, which was very convenient. As a welcome perk, the hotel gave each of us a complimentary token to enjoy a free wine tasting at their wine bar. It was a lovely touch and a nice way to experience local wines. The hotel itself felt very solid and sturdy, which was reassuring, especially in earthquake-prone Japan. The location couldn't be more convenient. Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro is right beside the Obihiro train station and bus terminal, making it incredibly easy to travel around the city and beyond. There's also a 7-Eleven just a short walk away for snacks, drinks, and other essentials. Although breakfast was not included in our reservation, we decided to dine at the hotel's restaurant on a few mornings, and it exceeded our expectations. The buffet featured a wide selection of both Japanese and Western dishes, all fresh and delicious. We also appreciated how efficiently the restaurant was managed—the staff had a well-organized table assignment system, allowing guests to be seated smoothly even during peak breakfast hours. The staff were consistently polite, welcoming, and helpful. While English communication was somewhat limited, they always made an effort to assist us. Using a translation app or knowing a few basic Japanese phrases made communication even easier. A couple of tips for future guests: don't expect a wide variety of TV channels unless you're willing to pay for premium programming, and be sure to verify whether breakfast is included with your reservation. We only discovered on our first morning that ours wasn't. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return. Between the comfortable rooms, excellent amenities, delicious breakfast, thoughtful complimentary wine tasting, and unbeatable location, Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro offers outstanding value for anyone visiting Obihiro.

ネットで予約してその時色々情報を記入したのにチェックインの時一部屋ごとに宿泊者全員の名前と電話番号を記入させられた｡ 代金の支払いもまとめて払うと言っているのに一部屋ごとに清算，サイン記入｡ 紙を何枚も使い時間もかかり道内７泊したけど最悪の対応だった。 部屋も狭かったしバストイレもビジネスホテルとそんなに差がなかった。日航ホテルはもっと良いと思っていた｡

基本的には良かったです。日航なので、大ハズレはないと思っていましたが、やはり期待値相応という感じです。 気になった点を以下にあげます。 部屋に冷凍庫がありません。フロントで預かって頂くことは可能ですが、北海道のミルクアイスをお風呂後にスムーズに楽しむことができない感じです。お風呂上がりスッピンでフロントまで行くことになります。 またホテルに大浴場はなく、近くの銭湯を紹介されますが、そちらにはシャンプー、ボディソープなどはなく購入しなければなりません。ドライヤーも30円かかります。顧客への銭湯案内の時にそのようなことも案内してくれれば、もっと親切なのに、と思いました。
