booked a hotel in Kyoto, but somehow, the reservation was confirmed for Osaka instead. I contacted Agoda four days in advance to request a date change to their sister hotel in Kyoto. Although Agoda said they would get back to me, I never received any response.
This lack of communication made the final part of our trip unnecessarily rushed and stressful, affecting our entire itinerary. It was truly disappointing to experience such poor customer service from a well-known booking platform like Agoda. Even if the request could not be accommodated, the least they could have done was respond to the customer.
On a positive note, a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Smile Hotel for providing such warm, friendly, and welcoming service on the last day of our trip. Your kindness made a difference and helped us end our journey on a happier note. ❤️

We stayed three nights, in a bunk over bed room. Ok for a few nights, easy walk to Tennoji station to access subway for sightseeing and JR line for getting to USJ.

We had stayed at the smile hotel in Tokyo and were impressed so we booked this one in Osaka. The breakfast wasn't great here, nowhere near as much choice. The staff said I hadn't paid for breakfast even though we had and when I showed them my booking which said so, they still weren't sure. We asked for help booking a taxi to the airport snd they said they couldn't help. Plus side very good location to walk to local shrines and the massive train station in Tennoji.
