Popway has so much potential and such poor execution. Having chosen the accomodation for it's location (handy enough - not far from Tennoji station) and in-room facilities, we were immediately left disappointed.
The first room we were given was a generous layout - however, smelt so strongly of awful mould that we sustained it for a day and felt unwell. Upon moving rooms, we were still greeted with peeled paint that presented mould, and much tighter surrounds.
In addition to this, the kitchenette of which was a key selling point provided you with nothing more than 2 cups and a kettle. Not even a spoon to stir your tea, let alone a fry pan or even some dish soap to clean your cup.
Now, let's talk about the beds. Generous in size - no doubt, but be ready to sleep on planks of wood with pillows that leave nothing to be desired.
Finally, the staff. Quiet and unhelpful - if you miss the 10am cut off to request cleaning, you'd be barely lucky to get a fresh set of towels.

This was one of our favorite hotels in Japan. Modern and very comfortable rooms, not so big, but well planned with small kitchen space, very helpful if you have small kids. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Location was also very nice, 10 min walk to Tennoji station. Zoo and big shopping malls and at the same time not very crowded or suffocating. We enjoyed big balcony space that added a lot to the total comfort.

The bed was hard as a rock. I told receptionist they gave us padded sheets and extra pillows which they had hairs on it. Seems like they were not cleaned. There is no room service so you have to clean up on your own. There was also a bad smell coming from the toilet . The only thing that was great about it was there was a washing machine in the room.
