I booked a “Superior Room” specifically for its promised view of the iconic Masimo Theatre. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were assigned a “Classic Room” instead, which faced a narrow back alley. The view was far from pleasant – we had a pile of trash outside the window and an old building just 2 meters away with broken shutters. Needless to say, we kept the curtains closed the entire time.
To make matters worse, the room itself was outdated, with stained carpet, and much smaller than the room we originally paid for. When we raised our concerns, the hotel management explained that no superior rooms were available and suggested we contact our booking agent for further assistance – that was all.
This experience was incredibly disappointing. I wouldn’t trust this hotel again, as you could very well end up in the same unfortunate situation we did.

Had a great stay at Massimo Hotel! The location is perfect. Right across from the opera house. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a nice variety of options to start the day. While the hotel shows a bit of wear, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. A solid choice for a pleasant and enjoyable stay!
