    Even though I only stayed for 4 to 5 hours, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Check-in was an immediate hassle—it took the staff 15 minutes just to figure out which room key worked. Things only got worse once I entered the room: The bathroom was in terrible condition with leaking fixtures and a broken flush. Cleanliness was non-existent. The room felt unhygienic, and even the curtains were stinking. The lift had a foul odor. Note that the hotel only occupies a single floor within the IIT Research Park building, which is not clearly communicated. The online photos on Agoda are completely misleading and do not reflect reality. To top it off, during breakfast, when I told the staff member I wasn't having breakfast (and hadn't paid for it), he pulled an extremely obnoxious face and made me feel unwelcome. Given the Ginger brand, I expected much better. There are far superior properties nearby in Chennai. I will not be returning and definitely cannot recommend it.
