    The Air conditioning system takes time to decrease/increase temperature. This is a draw back in the room.

    I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times in the past and chose this one as I have always been impressed by the professionalism in hotels managed by Sarovar throughout the country. Sadly, this hotel, although it claims to have been under the SP management shows little proof of professionalism. I list out the failings below: 1. Usually the bell boy who carries the luggage to the room explains the working of the TV, AC regulator, checks the intercom and the drinking water supply etc. Here, he did no such thing, as he was carrying the luggage of another guest on the same floor. The intercom in my room (908?) was not working. I had to call the reception using my mobile phone to ask them to send a technician. The AC was not on and I had to fiddle around with the controls. 2. The Wifi was not connecting to either my or my wife's phone. We had to continue to use the mobile data. 3. The TV was either not connected to the Asianet cable or was not working. BY this time I had given up calling the reception due to their bureaucratic replies. 4. As senior citizens, we found it difficult to use the shower area, as there was no handrails fitted in the bathrooms. Nor was there any hooks for hanging clothes. The water from the shower area was getting into the dry area and we were scared of a possible fall. 5. The crowning glory was our experience at the breakfast which was served in the restaurant. I asked for two iddlies but the boy attending to us said that the minimum order was for three iddlies. So I said ok ,deciding to leave one iddly uneaten. But when the dish came, there were four iddlies and a vada. I asked the boy but by then the floor manager (?) appeared from nowhere and started arguing with me. His attitude was take it or leave it so I tried to reconcile to the situation. The boy, however, took away the vadai from my plate with his bare hands. So. I was not surprised when a little later I found the boy cleaning a table with a tissue and wiping the leftover on to the chair on which some unfortunate customer would sit next! On the whole, I found the property run down and requiring a through upgrading and in the hands of incompetent managers! I shall not go anywhere near the property till they upgrade it!!
