    We were extremely happy with our stay! The hotel has been beautifully renovated, combining contemporary design with traditional elements in a charming historic building. Both the rooms and the hotel corridors are exceptionally well designed, with great attention to detail. The staff were excellent throughout our stay, always friendly and helpful. One particularly lovely and unusual touch is the complimentary half-hour afternoon treat: from 3 pm, delicious cookies and sweets are served in the hotel lobby. A small detail, perhaps, but one that makes the experience feel special. Breakfast was decent, although we would have appreciated a slightly wider and more imaginative selection. As it was my birthday during our stay, we returned to our room to find a birthday card and a delicious cake waiting for me. This was a genuinely thoughtful gesture and a wonderful surprise. However, even without this lovely personal touch, the hotel would still be an easy recommendation. During the colder days of the transitional seasons, such as October, the rooms can feel a little chilly. However, simply ask for a portable heater, as we did, and the staff will be more than happy to provide one. We were also able to borrow umbrellas from reception on a rainy evening, another example of the hotel's excellent service. We highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to return!

    We reported that our shower enclosure was blocked serveral times but not once did they resolve our issue.
