booked the hotel because of the good reviews (rooms, breakfast, location) and the pools.
at the time, I didn ´t know the heatwave will be there at the exact four days of our stay. It was marvelous! It really saved us from the crowds of public pools and the heat. BUT I would come back anytime of the year! far the best hotel in Bp, if you ask me.

This hotel was a haven to come back to in the summer heat of Budapest. Spa area was a real treat and breakfast offering is superb. Would highly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at Ensana Thermal Margaret Island. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away. The wellness area wasn’t too crowded when we visited, so we could really relax and enjoy it. Also, the interior design is beautiful and adds to the overall atmosphere. A great place to unwind!

Check in was fast but no offer to take luggage to my room. First impressions, Hotel felt like a Ghostown. No usual bars, cafes, energy, just felt completely dead.
My room was overly colourful in bright orange. Felt like I was in a Circus.
Air conditioner did not work at all, actually felt as if heater was on…..in Summer!
Bathroom was terrible. Initially, when entering, looked nice and new. However, there was a towel heat rack which was on and couldn’t be turned off. Shower head sliding height adjustment device was ‘locked’,m couldn’t move it so was only good for anybody 3-4 feet high. The water knob was also ‘locked’, so could barely open it. When finally I got water to work from shower, the bath filled with awful brown water.
Thermal pool area was nice enough, but staff were preoccupied talking to each other than helping guests.
Clear signs in thermal poor area that children under 14 not allowed, yet there were children screaming and playing in all pools that were clearly 5-6 years old. Staff on duty didn’t do anything about it, just concentrated more on using mobile telephone.
Breakfast was good and Maitre D was welcoming.
