Beautiful villa, great location

I have stayed at The Maya twice now (the first time a few years ago). The location is brilliant, right in the heart of Seminyak. The villas are very spacious, the pool and surrounding garden is lovely. Staff are friendly and available if needed, but not intrusive. Would be great for the facilities/villas to have a 'refresh' sometime soon but in the meantime I'd be very happy to stay at The Maya again and to recommend to friends.

My husband and I had a one bedroom pool villa. The villa was very spacious and the pool was great. We enjoyed our time, and the price through Agoda was quite affordable for the length of our stay. The villa was reasonably clean to the eye but if you looked deeper the bathroom was mouldy and kitchen as well as cutlery. Our shower had almost no water pressure and we had to call reception numerous times to have them fix it but unfortunately all they did was change the shower head which made no difference. The hotel also has only a max of 50l of hot water a day for all guests which means you get absolutely no hot shower. We stayed for almost three weeks and didn’t feel like we had a clean shower at all, which could be due to the fact the water in Bali isn’t hygienic in the first place anyways. The room does have a clean water filter and the staff clean the room everyday, replace the towels, bedspreads and also come by every evening to light the mosquito repellent coils for you in the entire villa; bedroom, living, kitchen and bathroom. Overall the staff are friendly, attentive and helpful to an extent and the villa is situated right in the middle of bustling Seminyak town centre but without any noise pollution. Close to all amenities.
