    Great place to stay for solo visitor like me. Good view of Thianhe Park. They also provide shuttle service. however price is kind of high during high season.

    We travelled with our son for business. The location is close to the metro with easy access to Tianhe shopping district. There is a nice park next to the hotel with a lake. Food and coffee options are within an easy 4mins walk from the hotel. Staff are warm and friendly at all times.

    Very comfortable beds and the best rain shower ever. Breakfast buffet had a good variety. Our room had an amazing view of the Canton Tower

    FYI - this review comes from someone who usually only stay at 4 or 5 star accomodation, so I maybe biased. We chose the Soluxe last minute as it coincided with the May holiday in China & Canton fair, and our options close to the Fair were very limited hence the decision to stay here. Even before arrival, we struggled to contact the hotel via phone and there is no proper official English website. There are some WeChat contacts I’d recommend that you request via email before hand should you have any questions you want to discuss with the team. Overall, the hotel is quite dated and well in need of a general renovation. Depending on your expectation of a 4 star hotel, you may find that the experience and amenities here are subpar. The hotel lobby had only a handful of seating options, the small cafe is open only a few hours, and it generally lacks welcoming warmth. The hotel pool and gym are straight out of the 80s. The buffet breakfast was decent with good choice. The staff were generally pleasant and polite and willing to help, but some lacked the proper ability to speak English well enough to assist with what was 95% foreign guests. They do all carry a phone to do translation but this has its flaws. The bedrooms were generously sized. We had a north facing view of the mountain range. My TV didn’t work, but my colleague didn’t have the same issue in his room. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also showing size of ageing with tiles cracked and slight signs of rust in corners of the showers and toilet. Location was fine - we caught a DIDI to most locations within 15-20 mins costing $8-$15AUD. Walking distance there isn’t an awful lot happening but there’s the park right next door although it was undergoing renovations whilst we were visiting. Overall, I’d give it a 3/5 - if you are not expecting 5 star hotel and are ok with basic amenities and comfortable bed, you’ll be fine. If you have the means and are usually expecting better quality and a finer experience, I’d recommend elsewhere (I have stayed at the Shangri La and the Sofitel - both were by far superior, but so is the price tag)
