    This hotel was branded 5* but provided 2* welcome experience. The staff who was supposed to check us in was very rude and hostile. We travelled almost 24hrs from the United States to Beijing, hoping and looking forward to a relaxing time at hotel. Me and my wife did not arrive at hotel until around midnight due to long flight and airport protocols. My son who is studying in Beijing came to meet us at the airport to help us get to our hotel, on arrival the first thing the girl - receptionist at the hotel would say to welcome us after confirming my reservation with them was … “ all of you cannot stay” ……she said it with disdain and rudeness. First of all, it was clear in the reservation that I booked for my self and my wife. Instead of welcoming us first and then make clear that the reservation was for 2 people, which is correct. My son lives in Beijing, he had his ride waiting for him to take to his college dorm. As if that was not enough unpleasant welcome at a so- called 5* hotel. There was no one to help with our luggage but this same girl insisted that our son cannot even help us to haul our baggage to the room, she insisted that since I only booked for two people, only the two of us will take our own luggage to the room. I was shocked, in my years of staying at hotels I have never been so insulted. I had enough, and I threatened to cancel all my reservation and find a new hotel. Only then did her colleague intervened to plead with me not to cancel and told her to allow my son to help us take our luggage to the room. How was this a 5* hotel ??? I ended up staying only 2 nights, and found a better managed hotel to stay for the rest of my visit to Beijing,
