2 days in the Galloway Forest & Portpatrick area

Decor was good. Towels and linen supplied of excellent quality. Bathroom clean & smart. Kitchen pretty well appointed. It was half term so the site was not quiet but late on it was peaceful & a good nights sleep was had

Good value lodge pet friendly

Lodge was comfortable. excellent for taking our dog. woodland walk onsite. site was well kept grass cut twice during our 4 night stay. lodge clean and adequate for short stay. We walked into Newton Stewart 20mins and had dinner out. Enjoyed trip to Portpatrick,fed red deer and goats and had couple of nice walks nearby.

Bedroom quite small. Porch could have been larger. sunny in morning but shade in afternoon.

Furniture needs upgrading, double bed moves when getting in needs fixing to the headboard to stop movement, decking area quite dirty and very small and when booking was made request a hot tub only to find out a week before arrival we did not have one ?

Perfect lodge in quiet setting

The pictures don’t do the lodge justice as they must have recently refurbished. It was of an excellent standard and spotlessly clean.

Very good

Location on the edge of Newton Stewart was excellent for us to be able to explore the west of Galloway. It was also possible to walk into Newton Stewart in the evening for a meal. Or if too much of a hike, a taxi would not have been deadly.

The back bedroom was very dark and the lighting was very poor. We felt if a powerful bedside light was put beside the bed it would enable reading at night which was not possible with the dim light in the room. We also felt that the recycling facility should have properly labelled bins for glass/plastic/paper etc. It all seemed to be contained in bin bags and we were left feeling that it ALL ended up in landfill which didn't make us happy! The constant hum from the hot tubs was a bit intrusive. Otherwise a lovely, clean, quiet location.

The location is wonderful. In it's own woodland. So quiet and peaceful. The staff are always on hand if you need anything and very helpful with tips on where to visit.

Sofa is a little soft in lodge 15 but that's just to my taste . Really nothing to not like .

Lovely lodges and amazing scenery

The location and scenery were amazing. The lodge was really lovely. Everyone around was so friendly. Newton Stewart wasn’t too far with some quaint shops.

Nothing really. One of the couches was just a tad too soft for us. But would absolutely be back
