Butterfly Beach Hotel

We arrived to be allocated a room overlooking the roof of a shed and waste ground which is used as a car park , and beside a main noisy road we booked a superior pool view room , after a few days we did manage to resolve thee issue and AnneMarie was kind enough to give us a gesture of goodwill and a free dinner and 2 cocktails, The food in the restaurant is good , but always took ages to pay for it , takes at least 3 people to put payment through and on the final day we were presented with a bill for drinks which we had paid for on our 3 rd day , we were embarrassed at reception as they searched for the receipt even being asked to open our suitcase to search for our copy and being asked what we had for dinner that day !! Not a nice experience, Also be aware if you want a sunbed on the beach you have to drag it from the hotel to the beach yourself and umbrellas are 20bd a day, you get 1 free beach towel but have to pay for any subsequent 1's..The staff are a mixed bunch some are absolutely lovely but others are surely , reception staff are the worst , 1 in particular needs to get a new job because she obviously doesn't like the 1 she has , no personality, no manners , and mumbles everything without lifting her head from the computer. We love Barbados, this was our 3rd time andl have 2 more flights booked Definitely would not recommend this Hotel

Only stayed 1 night enroute to Grenada. Lovely spot right on the beach. Would loved to have spent longer there.

Great location but a little expensive for what you get.

Receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was fine. The Reef restaurant should be a hard pass. The food was not good and definitely not worth the price. Got charged $7 for a to go coffee... which was instant coffee.
