    A convenient base for exploring Albany, with breakfast included—a nice plus before busy days of sightseeing and hiking. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was modern, felt fairly new and was clean. Facilities were adequate for a Hilton Garden Inn. A small toiletries kit with a toothbrush, comb and cotton buds would have been a welcome addition. Overall, I was happy with my stay.

    Beautiful Harbour View, Great Location - Service Could Be Better Would I recommend this hotel? - YES Location - 5/5 Exceptional location! It’s very accessible to everything, making it convenient for sightseeing, dining, shopping, and getting around. Value for Money - 4/5 It is quite expensive, but I would say it’s worth the price, especially if you book a harbour-view room. The view really adds to the overall experience. Cleanliness - 4/5 The room and hotel were very tidy and clean, and everything smelled fresh and pleasant. Facilities - 4/5 The facilities were good and met our expectations. Overall, everything was comfortable and well-maintained. Buffet Breakfast - 3/5 The food selection is good, and everything we tried was delicious. However, I think it would be even better if they offered different breakfast options each day or every other day, especially for guests staying for more than three nights like us (we extend another 1night). Having more variety would prevent the breakfast from becoming repetitive and would give longer-staying guests something new to look forward to each morning. Staff - 3/5 This was probably the weakest part of our experience. The receptionists we encountered were not very welcoming or approachable, which made us hesitant to ask further questions. I understand that everyone has different personalities and different days, but a little more warmth and hospitality would have made a big difference. Interestingly, when we stayed at another hotel afterwards, the experience was completely different. Even though it was a lower-cost budget hotel, the staff there were very welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. I think the front desk team here could benefit from additional training focused on guest interaction and hospitality. Overall: Despite the service experience at the front desk, we still enjoyed our stay. The excellent location, cleanliness, facilities, and especially the harbour view were definitely the highlights. I would still recommend this hotel, particularly to travellers who want a convenient location and a beautiful harbour view.
