    Staff were extremely friendly and made our stay very pleasent. The facilities were great and the convenience of the supermarket amd transport being a 1 to 2 minute walk was very convenient the only trouble was the bathroom drain being clogged but as soon as we notified the staff they cleaned it as soon as possible with out a fuss

    This was our second time staying at Meriton Southport, and it was just as good as the first. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and the location is great. We mentioned that we were on our honeymoon, and the hotel surprised us with a lovely card and a bottle of champagne. It was a really thoughtful touch and made our stay even more special. The staff were friendly, check-in was easy, and everything went smoothly throughout our stay. We’ve had two great experiences here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

    We stayed as a couple and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and most of the facilities were well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for getting around. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that a few facilities could be better maintained or improved. Overall, it was great value for money, and we would happily stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.

    The reception staff looked down upon us and were exceptionally rude and pretentious at check-in just because we were tired after a very early flight and weren’t able to comprehend what she said at the first instance. At the first night, we discovered a strange smell on the master bedroom blanket on the pillow end exactly in the middle but only recognised it was the smell of diapers (ie urine) the next morning. It was disgusting! We are not sure whether it was from the previous customer who used the room or whether it was planted by someone else as the location was precisely where one’s head would be. A complaint email was immediately sent and requested for changing of the blanket but it seemed that the email was ignored (as a matter of hindsight it is not surprising as it seemed that same staff was responsible for checking emails). The blanket was only changed by an urgent call to the night staff. This is totally unacceptable and really insulting.
