    I have stayed several times and each time I am delighted by the decor and team. Despite the location the rooms are very quiet on my stays.

    Lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Everything was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only disappointment was that our room was not serviced after our first night, despite informing the housekeeping staff before 10 am that we only needed a few more minutes and requesting additional shampoo. As it was still early in the day, we were surprised that the room was never made up.

    I had high hopes for this hotel, but ended up leaving extremely disappointed. On arrival, the air con unit had leaked onto the carpet, so the carpet was quite wet, but they assigned me the room anyway. After the first night, I requested a room without wet carpet, but they were unable to move me. I kept walking through the wet patch as there wasn’t much room to move in this tiny room. They did not offer any compensation or complimentary anything for this thoroughly unpleasant inconvenience. The Aesop bathroom products were nice. The shower leaked all over the tiny bathroom floor and the bath mat was sopping. It was a choice as to whether to hang up my towel or the bath mat, as there was only one tiny rail, right beside the toilet. The shower curtain was mouldy and the bathroom smelt of mould. There wasn’t a single coat hanger or clothes hook in the room, only shelves in the wardrobe. I have never stayed in a hotel without coat hangers before. Nowhere to hang a coat, jacket, dress or even a towel etc. Rather than a tv, they provided a giant tablet on a footed stand, on the floor. The large round foot was placed beside the bed, further limiting the very narrow access to the bed. It was a bit crazy. There were no instructions as to how to use the tablet and I never worked out how to get the tv on it during my stay. I would have liked to have watched tv at times. A wall- mounted tv and a remote would have been much better. There were also no instructions for the air con, but I was told I could only use it on cool, not heat. When I turned it to fan, to try to get the room dry, I received a note on my bed advising that cool is in the only permissible selection as it affects other rooms throughout the complex. Finally, crockery and a sink is provided in the room. However, no dishwashing liquid or a tea towel. When I enquired about these, to wash my own dishes, I was advised that they usually just run them under hot water, but they could get me some liquid and a tea towel if I like. I said yes please, but they never materialised. First time I’ve ever checked out of accomodation and just left the dishes. Seems like basic cleaning standards may not be in place here. Location is close to King Cross Station and I felt safe walking back at midnight. Loads of restaurants and 2 supermarkets in the vicinity also. All in all, this hotel was the only disappointment in an otherwise fabulous weekend in Sydney!
