    We were disappointed to find that adhesive tags had been placed on our suitcases (surface and handles) without our permission; these left a sticky residue that was very difficult to remove. The room lacked basic luggage stands/racks, so we had to live out of suitcases on the floor. Furthermore, we also found the soundproofing to be poor, as we could clearly hear conversations in the hallway and vice versa. Lastly, despite it being winter, the bathrobes provided were quite rough rather than the soft, fluffy quality we expected. For a hotel in this category, we expected more attention to detail.

    The room facilities are outdated, particularly the hair dryer. The room's sound insulation is extremely poor. Noise from the neighbouring room, including running water and doors opening and closing, was clearly audible and greatly disrupted my stay. Furthermore, the front desk staff failed to inform me that members are entitled to complimentary early check-in, which was disappointing and negatively impacted my overall experience.

    The location is excellent, very central and within easy reach of restaurants, bars, and even the MCG. Overall, the stay was good and there was genuinely nothing to fault until our checkout day. When we called for assistance with our luggage on check out, the staff member who arrived appeared visibly unhappy and unwilling to help. He handled our luggage very roughly, throwing our bags onto the luggage trolley, including my partner’s golf bag is obviously more fragile This was disappointing and well below Hyatt standards. It was quite shocking and left us with a poor final impression, which ultimately affected what had otherwise been a pleasant stay.
